NERDS Code of Conduct​

• Are members of AMDS or NCMD WITH insurance

• Only detect where we have permission and NEVER trespass

• Report finds of interest to the landowner

• Report finds under the Portable Antiquities Scheme

• Follow the Country Code AND Keep Britain Tidy

• If you find any live ammunition or any lethal object, do not disturb it. Mark the site carefully and report to local police and landowner

• It is illegal to use a metal detector on a designated area e.g, Scheduled monuments etc

• When you are out with your metal detector you are an ambassador for our hobby

• NEVER leave a mess and fill ALL holes!

• Wear HIGH VIS VEST'S (included with membership)

• Carry your personal membership card (these will have your name and photo on)

• Will HELP YOU find lost items if we can
