• We are a SOCIAL group that focus on friendships and relationships not regular "big rally" organisers, if a group dig a fortnight is you it's not us!! We make friends and are non-profit.

• The annual subscription is ONLY £20 (£30 couples) in 2025, pro-rata fee for joining during the year. Membership numbers are limited and must have permissions of their own.

• The membership card has a plastic weather resistant covering.

• Members can join the NERDS Private Facebook & WhatsApp group.

• The Facebook group allows the buying and selling of detecting related products between members and non members alike.

• Members will be provided with opportunities when available for hobby related discounts.

• Password protected members only area on web site.

• Special PPE is provided to all full paid members. That's for a reason the farmer knows it's us!

• We carry an AED and first aid. All full members MUST have NCMD insurance.

• We encourage the "buddy" principle of sharing our permissions between fully paid members. We only organise a limited number of club digs per year (6-8) as we have limited "club land"

• We support YORKSHIRE AIR AMBULANCE - All fees from those attending digs are donated.

• We also help M.A.S.H (Military Assistance Social Hub) in learning how to use metal detectors and invite them to join us wherever possible.
